- Concept: Home is place but it is also a space inhabited by family,people,things and belongings-a familiar, if not comfortable space where particular activities and relationships are lived. n my account home is a virtual place, a repository for memories of the lived spaces. It locates lived time and space, particularly intimate familial time and space.
- Statement: For all humans we consider our homes as properly the place that we spend most of the time in our daily lives, so of course memories will be shared, made and kept for their family and friends.
- Concept: Simultaneously and indivisibly a spatial and a social unit of interaction
- Statement: People enjoy other peoples company in their own houses, this is evident by family gatherings, parties and anything that involves interaction between human beings. These events are mostly enjoyed since they can be easily be familiarized with their surrounds, this is easily seen through the phrase 'make yourself at home'.

- Concept: Home is not only confined within a structural building but "extends its walls to the neighborhood... suburb, town or city
- Statement: When we think homes in Sydney, we generally think of suburbs. Many of us grew up in suburbs and many of find the forms, landscape and space of the suburbs as comforting and familiar.
